Wooden fire doors, everyone must hear the word that this is a very strange product, can wood fire? In fact, the wood used to make this fire-resistant product on fire protection is flame-retarded. Generally, the common wood flame-retardant methods are: spray method, soaking method, cooking method, vacuum method, vacuum pressure method, etc. The spraying method and the soaking method are generally applied to the surface of wood that is no longer planed, and the flame retardant treatment of thin plates with a thickness of less than 10mm is not suitable for the production of wooden fire doors. Although the vacuum method and vacuum pressure method have excellent flame retardancy, they are not used in our province's fire door manufacturers because of their expensive equipment. At present, most fire door enterprises in our province use the cooking method for flame retardant treatment or purchase wood flame retardants. The technical personnel of Dow Chemical believes that the following points should be paid attention to when using wood flame retardants for flame retardant treatment of wood:
1. The moisture content of the flame retardant wood should be dry or wet. The moisture content of the flame retardant wood is an important factor affecting the flame retardant quality of the wood. Because dry wood tends to absorb the flame retardant liquid more easily after entering the flame retardant pool, and the amount of wood absorbing the flame retardant liquid directly affects the flame retardant quality of the wood, and its absorption is directly proportional to the oxygen index and flame retardant depth of the flame retardant wood relationship. The more the wood absorbs the flame retardant liquid, the better the wood's flame retardancy, the higher the oxygen index, and the deeper the flame retardance. However, many companies believe that anyway, when the wood is flame retardant, it must be wetted by the flame retardant liquid, so the high and low water content of the wood does not matter much. The wood to be flame retardant is generally not dried, and some companies even The freshly sawn wet wood is flame-retardant treated.孰 I do not know that the moisture content of wood will affect the flame retardant quality, which will cause the flame retardant quality of flame retardant wood to be unstable. According to the test, under the same flame retardant conditions, wood with a moisture content of less than 15% can increase more than 5 oxygen indexes and flame retardance by more than 3mm compared with wood with a moisture content of more than 40%.
2. Flame retardant first, then water, then wood In the flame retardant process, most manufacturers use the order of loading wood → adding flame retardant → adding water → starting flame retardant. Generally speaking, when wood absorbs the largest amount of water at first, the use of this process often causes the wood to start absorbing extremely low-concentration flame retardant liquid. Therefore, in the process of wood flame retardant, a concentration of the flame retardant liquid absorbed by the wood is required. The process of transitioning from low concentration to normal concentration directly affects the dry salt absorption and absorption speed of wood, and then affects the flame retardant effect. In the order of adding flame retardants → adding water → loading wood → starting flame retardant, the wood initially absorbs the flame retardant liquid of standard concentration, thereby avoiding the process of the flame retardant liquid absorbed by the wood from low concentration to normal concentration. , Which in turn improves the flame retardant quality. If the enterprise has the conditions, the flame retardant can be formulated into a flame retardant liquid with a specified concentration and then added to the flame retardant tank, and the flame retardant quality will be better.
